Licensed Seafood Cafe
Fish on the Edge is a licensed seafood café located in Wivenhoe, Burnie. Just 4 minutes drive east of Burnie’s CBD, we are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
Fish on the Edge compliments fresh Tasmanian and Australian seafood with crisp salads and vegetables adding a modern twist to the traditional Australian favourite, fish and chips.
Fish on the Edge offers vegetarian, non-seafood and gluten free options. If you’re after a cosy night in or quick fix, take away meals are also available.
Since opening in 2007, Fish on the Edge has developed a reputation for high quality food and excellent customer service. Whilst Fish on the Edge focuses on delivering fresh local seafood, locals also visit the café for the casual but classy setting; to enjoy breakfast, great coffee, a quiet vino or a refreshing ice cream. Locals and visitors alike frequent Wivenhoe for its other specialty food options including a gourmet food store and café, bakery café, fresh produce retailer and butcher. Having recently changed ownership, regular visitors can be confident Fish on the Edge will continue to deliver the same fabulous menu items that they know and love.

Choose from a large variety of fresh water and deep sea fish and shell fish varieties or impress your guests with one of our cook-at-home semi-prepared meal options.
Fish on the Edge focuses on sourcing local Tasmanian produce from local suppliers. In the event that Tasmanian produce is not available, seafood from interstate Australian suppliers is sourced.
